Sobre Esta Calculadora

Area calculations are needed everywhere from school homework to construction quotes. The five shapes covered — rectangle, circle, triangle, square, and trapezoid — account for the vast majority of real-world surface calculations. Each shape uses a distinct formula, and mixing them up is a common source of error.

For circles, the calculator uses A = πr² and circumference = 2πr. Triangles use A = ½ × base × height. Rectangles and squares use A = l × w. Trapezoids use A = ½(a + b) × h, where a and b are the parallel sides. Perimeter is calculated for all shapes as well.

Practical applications include determining how much paint or flooring material to buy, calculating land area for real estate, sizing solar panels, and solving geometry problems across middle school, high school, and college coursework.

Cálculos dimensionais em projetos residenciais ou problemas comuns de espaço físico nos volumes da sua obra ou provas escolares entre prismas e cones ou trapézios variados.

Exemplo Resolvido

Finding the area and perimeter of a trapezoid

Entradas:

  • Parallel side a = 10 m
  • Parallel side b = 6 m
  • Height = 4 m
  • Leg lengths: 5 m and 5 m

Passo a Passo:

  1. Area formula: A = ((a + b) / 2) × h
  2. A = ((10 + 6) / 2) × 4 = (16/2) × 4 = 8 × 4 = 32 m²
  3. Perimeter = a + b + leg₁ + leg₂ = 10 + 6 + 5 + 5 = 26 m
Resultado: Trapezoid area = 32 m². Perimeter = 26 m.
